Gala la la la

Due to some technical difficulties my original post about the Gala has been lost. To reiterate:

The Gala went very well despite having a slightly smaller crowd than normal. The Walhalla Woman's Club did a FANTASTIC job with the food - people raved about it. The band's were phenomenal - Thanks to Bill and Connie Lowe and Cripple Creek, The Little River Band, and our steel drum band Pantasia! Thanks to the Walhalla Oktoberfest Dancers for preserving our German dance heritage, also to storyteller Sarah Duvall and King Kudzu and Mother Vine. Thank you to our sponsors and silent auction donors. The silent auction went very well, and some of the bidding got pretty interesting I hear. Also, thank you to everyone who attended - you make all the things we do possible, and we're doing a lot, so good job! A VERY VERY BIG THANK YOU TO DEANNA DEFOOR for making the entire Gala happen and for making it pretty to boot. The Gala truly would not have happened if it weren't for her. Also, thanks to all the staff and volunteers who helped out that night. Below is a slide show of photos from that night. Enjoy
